Item Description
A classic Congo Cuprite on Chrysocolla specimen featuring several, sharp, dark red octahedra of Cuprite on stark contrasting soft blue-green Chrysocolla on matrix. The largest Cuprite measures 1.1 cm across, and despite a few nicks here and there, the piece is in good shape overall. The sharpness of the crystals is notable, as most I've seen from this locality can be somewhat rounded. The deep internal blood red color of the Cuprites can be seen best with strong backlighting. Ex Herb Obodda specimen.
