Item Description
A classic specimen of the desirable Cuprites from Bisbee. This piece is features many very sharp, rather lustrous, well-formed, dodecahedral crystals of Cuprite on Cuprite matrix that show incredible deep red color when backlit! The crystals measure up to a whopping 1.3 cm and show great color and gemminess. Just a bit of peripheral damage but it's incredibly showy and HARD TO FIND on the market these days. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10653). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017). Valued at $900.
