Item Description

The Ray Mine is well-known for its fine quality Cuprite specimens, often featuring excellent, sharp, well-formed crystals. This large miniature / small cabinet sized piece hosts many small, sharp, lustrous, deep red colored cubic crystals of Cuprite. The crystals are best seen under magnification, and you can see from our micro photos how sharp and well-formed they are. There is a light blue "dusting" of what is presumably Chrysocolla on the back of the piece, which makes for a wonderful contrast of color. These specimens are much less common on the market now than they were many years ago, and if you're a fan of secondary ore minerals, specimens from Arizona or if you just appreciate well-crystallized specimens, don't pass this one up. Priced in our inventory at $600.
