Cuprite (ex Richard Rossi Collection)

Item Description

A great Cuprite toenail specimen from this well-known sulfide deposit in Russia about 35 km from Kazakhstan border. A group of sharp, lustrous, deep metallic red color, well-formed octahedra Cuprite measuring up to 2.5 cm makes for an excellent overall piece. VERY little damage, essentially undamaged on the front / display side, but there is a contact on the back where the specimen was removed from the pocket wall. It even shows a TINY BIT of color along the edges when backlit. These are going up in value it seems, as I have seen similar crystals priced much higher than they used to be at shows.
