Item Description
A very rarely seen association specimen featuring incredibly sharp, very well-formed, highly lustrous, octahedral crystals of Cuprite which have altered to or have been coated by mint green Malachite sitting atop midnight blue Azurite with minor matrix. The Cuprites are beautiful to view up close, and the fact that they are so sharp and lustrous is remarkable for the locality. I don't think I've ever seen Cuprites on Azurite like this from Tsumeb, and it would make a great addition to a Tsumeb suite, a thumbnail colletion or a collection of secondary ore minerals. The largest Cuprite measures about 2 mm, but they are fine quality.
