Item Description
A very sculptural specimen of Cuprite from the Ray Mine. The piece is filled with crystals and partial crystals that which show a combination of habits including cubic, octahedral and dodecahedral. The largest individual crystal measures about 5 mm across. With some backlighting, you can see the intense blood red color inside the Cuprites. You really need to get in close to see how sharp and well-formed some of these Cuprites truly are, as they are not as easy to discern with the naked eye. Classic and excellent material from this noted Arizona locale.
