Item Description
A classic and showy Tsumeb combination specimen from the Howard Belsky Collection. Lustrous, translucent, pretty mint-green smithsonite crystals richly cover the mounded matrix of ivory-colored calcite rhombs. Cuprian smithsonites of this color are highly desirable. The crystals have an unusual crenellated, helmet shape, that reminds me of prehnite crystals, but certainly are not. A bit of periphery wear is noted, but is a very modest detraction to the overall context of this excellent smithonsite combination piece. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
