Item Description
Green cuprian smithsonite is one of the most highly prized and uncommon varietals from the famed Tsumeb Mine. Juicy, translucent, bright apple-green rhombs, to 8 mm on edge, are richly and attractively clustered atop the undulating matrix on this extremely fine and rich example from an East Coast collection. Specimens of this quality with more discrete rhombs, richness and size are seldom on the market. Most Tsumeb cuprian smithsonites have a more botryoidal look. Valued at $2000-2500.
