Item Description

Scintillating, translucent, pretty light mint-green, cuprian smithsonite rhombs richly cover the scultpural matrix wedge on this excellent piece from Tsumeb. The highy complex rhombs are up to about 4 mm. This is an uncommon color for Tsumeb smithsonite. The matrix is covered with pastel-pink, micro dolomite rhombs. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
