Item Description
This is a beautiful, scintillating specimen of the prized cuprian variety of Smithsonite from Tsumeb! The display side of this small cabinet piece is completely covered with bright apple-green crystals from 2 to 4 mm in size. The low-profile mounds of Cuprian Smithsonite are composed of translucent, lustrous and sparkling crystals that completely cover a contrasting whitish gray matrix. This piece is probably from finds at Tsumeb in the 1970s, now such things are seldom seen. Valued $2000
