Item Description

There are quite a few Cuprian Smithsonites out there from Tsumeb of various styles, but this one has intense color and great beauty! Multiple, thick, small mounds of matrix are completely covered with small, sparkling, bright, lime-green Cuprian Smithsonite crystals on this exceptional small cabinet specimen. The scintillating, translucent, Smithsonite crystals average about 2 mm in size and richly cover the undulating matrix. The Cuprian Smithsonites are an amazingly saturated, lime-green color that is off the charts compared to the the average Cuprian Smithsonites from this locality. This piece has wonderful aesthetics, color and composition and sits perfectly by itself for display. Ex. Alvin Pranschke collection.
