Item Description
Cuprian smithsonite is one of the most desirable varietals from the famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. The front and crest of this showy and excellent piece are covered with scintillating, glassy, moss-green, cuprian smithsonite micro-rhombs. The backside reveals botryoidal clusters of glassy, gray, smithsonite rhombs partially coated with the moss-green smithsonite. So, we actually have a complete all-around and pristine specimen of two generations of smithsonite, including the desirable cuprian varietal. Very fine material from the Rob Smith Collection, a noted Tsumeb specialist. Comes with a custom-made lucite base as a free bonus. Valued $500-600
