Item Description

This is a rare specimen of a Cuprian variety of Powellite, unique to this mine. It was identified during the analysis of Szencsite associations from this remote mine and only found in the 1990s by Terry Szenics. To my knowledge, no more of this material has been found since then. Most of the 1-2mm-size crystals are a beautiful apple-green, and the fluorescence is a classic yellow. This is a fine, very uncommon small miniature or large thumbnail sized specimen. They have not been found in decades and remain one of the mineral oddities from Chile.
