Item Description

Cuprian calcites from the small, about 1999-2000 find at this well-known mine were initially labelled as cuprian smithsonite. Juicy, translucent, warm apple-green colored, intergrown, stepped-growth rhombs comprise this RARE and colorful example. Part of the core of the piece is hematite-tinted, rust-brown calcite and is a nifty variation. Scattered bruising is noted, along with contacting and cleaving on the periphery, but this remains a cute example of this pretty rarity from this locale.
