Cuprian Calcite helectite (Urish Coll.)

Item Description

These twisted, sculptural cave formation helectites of calcite from recent finds at the Holbrook Mine at Bisbee are certainly unusual looking and appear to defy gravity in their growth. The lustrous, very glassy, translucent, intergrown rhombs range from tan to a pleasing light pastel-grown from copper inclusions. The form on this one is spectacular and the couple of contacts have no impact on the striking form. Ex Harold Urish Collection.
