Cuprian Adamite on Calcite (classic locale)

Item Description

Two sharp crevasses separate three fields of beautiful, juicy rich apple-green droplets of equant orthorhombic cuprian adamite crystals. The adamites on the center and left clusters are highly lustrous and translucent, while the crystals on the right-hand cluster are translucent with satin luster. The striking, rich, triangular center section is noteworthy. The adamites are aesthetically set on the sculptural small cabinet matrix of oxide-coated calcite on the off-white, sugary, massive calcite matrix. The bit of noted calcite periphery wear is certainly a minimal detraction to this classic, excellent and aesthetic cuprian adamite from a 2020 find at the well-known Hilarion Mine at historic Lavrion.
