Item Description
A UNIQUE, very showy and rich specimen from Tsumeb with TWO different varieties of cuprian smithsonite. One vug, at 4.8 cm, in the sulfide-rich, sculptural, mounded matrix is filled with sparkly, gemmy, emerald-green and pastel-green, cuprian adamite crystals. The adjacent vug is totally filled with the lustrous, pastel-green cuprian adamite variety. This is a facinating, VERY RICH and UNUSUAL cuprian adamite specimen from this famous and now-closed mine. Cuprian adamite of this quality is one of the most sought-after, less common species from this renowned locale. Ex Rob Smith Collection and fairly valued at $1000-1500 for richness, color and quality.
