An EXCEPTIONAL, old-time galena specimen from the famous Joplin Field of Tri-State District and the George Feist Collection, # 2837. This very showy, lustrous, upright specimen consists of "fortification", cuboctahedral galena crystals and one of the primary crystals is exquisitely hoppered! The hoppered crystal is 2.5 across. A very fine, uncommon, old-timer from this historic district, very nearly pristine and with only very trivial edgewear.
