Cuboctahedral Galena w/ Marcasite & Pyrite (Urish Coll.)

A striking, sculptural and rare galena varietal from the famous Milliken Mine of Missouri. Cuboctahedrons are relatively uncommon from this locale and the biomorphic-looking cluster of unusually etched crystals are preferentially peppered with bright marcasite and pyrite crystals. Mirror-bright, strangely unetched crystal face are visible on the back. Weird chemistry here. A dramatic and rare galena from the Harold Urish Collection. A must for the locality or species collector.
