Splendent, sharp, cuboctahedral galena crystals are aesthetically accented with sharp, frosted, calcite rhombs and lustrous, twinned sphalerite crystals on this very showy and excellent combination specimen from the 2nd Sovietskiy Mine. The out-of-sight matrix is massive sphalerite. Classic and essentially pristine material from this noted locale from the Vincent Valade and Robert Whitmore Collections. Specimens of this quality are hard to get today.
