Item Description

Diamond specimens are rare from any of the five localities listed by MINDAT for Botswana. The open pit Orapa Mine is the largest diamond mine in the world in terms of value and quantity of carats produced annually (Wikipedia). This gemmy, adamantine luster, colorless cube has frosted nubby faces and highly unusual surface features. All six faces are concave and have a hard-to-see 'X' from the corners. Fascinating! From a small select diamond collection. 1.24 carats mass.
