Item Description

A classic and excellent, two-sided specimen of glassy, highly lustrous and translucent, light gray dolomite rhombs peppered with brassy, tabular crystals of cubanite and pyrrhotite and nicely accompanied with glassy, yellow-green siderite blades from the 1960s find at the famous Morro Velho Gold Mine, Nova Lima, Brazil. The larger hexagonal crystals are pyrrhotites (light brown) and many of the smaller crystals are cubanites. Such combinations are not that common. The noted periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction to this showy combination Ex Matioli Collection.
