Item Description

Rarely does one find a good quality matrix specimen of cubanite from the most classic locale at the Henderson No. 2 Mine. Good quality cubanites are rare enough, but to find a pair of beautifully crystallized examples on matrix is extremely difficult to obtain. The magnificent brilliant brass color and iridescence of the crystals along with the highly desirable cyclic twinning makes for a really eye-popping piece. The highly lustrous, razor sharp, brassy metallic "trilling" crystal is beautifully accented by the sharp, rectangular cubanite column and glassy calcite rhombs on the quartz matrix. This locality has produced the world's FINEST Cubanite specimens, and pieces like this are few and far between on the market.
