Item Description
A beautiful and intricate, flame-like, spinel-twinned gold crystal cluster from the famous but remote mines in the jungle of New Guinea. The color is a rich, bright yellow. The sharp, spinel-twinned tips of the flame are striking, especially the dramatic, long, 9 mm twin. A bit of embedded tack is noted on the backside. Specimens seem to emerge from collections every few years, but it has been a while since I have seen one this fine. This is an older piece, circa 1980s or 90s. Valued $1000-1250.
