Item Description

This striking large and stout, coarsely crystallized leaf silver has striking artistic form and fabulous variable patina on the front and back. Some of the patina is iridescent. Larger crystals along the edges, especially at the top and the two large crystallized loops really add aesthetic quality to this very fine silver from the classic mines at Kongsberg. The back, overall, is darker, than the front. The specimen is mounted and glued into the lucite base. Valued at $2250-2500. An excellent, large precious metal spiker for this auction.
