Very sharp tetrahexahedral and arborescent spinel-twinned copper crystals are artistically intergrown on the sculptural matrix on this rich and excellent specimen from this famous Ray Mine. The crystals have been cleaned to bring out the rich, lustrous, coppery patina. Classic Ray Mine copper from the Ted Bartels Collection. Not cheap, as the piece was priced at $285 in the 1980s or 90s.
