Item Description
The faces of these artistic gold leaves are totally covered with very sharp, tiny octahedrons and have a beautiful reddish-golden iridescence. Partially embedded in quartz, these uniquely characteristic golds are from the ancient gold mines at Rosia Montana. Pieces of this quality date to the 1800s and are just not that common in any size. This is a SUPERB thumbnail example of the style there. A classic and excellent gold miniature from the Howard Belsky Collection. Valued at $1800-2000
