An adorable crystallized leaf gold thumbnail from the famous Breckenridge District. This sculptural lustrous, rich golden-yellow cutie is comprised of a myriad of sharp octahedrons in an overall spinel-twinned form. The isolated stalks and one edge of sharp octahedrons look like backbones! This outstanding specimen looks equally fine from either side. Leaf gold specimens of this quality were mostly recovered from calcite veins on Farncomb Hill from about 1880 to the late 1890s. An exceptional old-timer and seldom on the market. valued $2000-2500
