Item Description

A sculptural crystallized gold with embedded quartz from an unknown California locale, that is old material. Both sides of the undulating surfaces of the bright yellow gold are composed mostly of subhedral to hackly gold with scattered sharp spinel-twins and octahedrons. Ex George Elling Collection. 13 grams mass. Current gold bullion value is $39.30/gram or over $510 US. Specimen value is higher, usually double spot on a locality nugget.
