CRYSTALLIZED GOLD - the Flame

A beautiful and aesthetic crystallized gold leaf specimen we have nicknamed the Flame, from the famous Round Mountain Mine of Nevada. The sculptural flame is composed entirely (front and back) of micro-octahedral gold crystals with striking larger octos at the edge of the tip of the flame. The color is a lustrous, rich yellow and the uprising flame shape is very jauntily set on the front of the blocky quartz matrix. The "Flame" itself is 4.0 cm tall. Very few new specimens have come from this noted locale in recent years and this is from the finds of 3-4 years ago - a style not found since. Fairly valued at $3000 or more for quality of crystallization, size and for being a matrix specimen (not all that common for gold of this style here). A MAJOR gold specimen for the mine, especially in its size class. it is large and flashy at a moderate price!
