A very cute and aesthetic gold leaf thumbnail from Round Mountain and the Mark Mauthner Collection. The edges of both sides of the compressed "leaf" are composed of hoppered octahedrons and spinel-twins. The piece is light, golden-colored. It displays beautifully from both sides and angles. Two views look like a rabbit sitting up, with ears, head, nose, body and feet visible. The other views look like a Native American"s feathered spear head. This style was found in 2002-2005 and remains one of the classics of US gold finds. Valued at $300-400.
