An elegantly branching crystallized gold specimen with a dramatic hole from the famous Eagles Nest Mine. The bright yellow crystals are octahedrons and spinel-twins. The large octo in the fork of the tree is 9 mm. Some of the specimen tips look like tree buds. Flip the piece over and it looks like a bird, with head, beak, cockscomb, large eye and thin neck! A showy and sculptural, 3-dimensional gold from this noted locale.
