Item Description

Exceptionally scupltural crystallized copper from the Pewabic Lode of Copper Country. The striking curved spinel-twin looks like a "tail" or "leg" being licked by an upright animal on this most artistic 360-degree piece with a fine patina. The rest of the piece consists of euhedral and subhedral tetrahexahedrons, with possibly a rare dodecahedron present. This superlative and classic old-time specimen is on consignment from a private Michigan collection who gave it to us to auction for quick sale. Fairly valued at $750-1000 based on other specimens of this classic style on the market at shows.
