Item Description
Sculptural diverging arborescent form on this well-crystallized small cabinet floater copper specimen from the famous 1970s finds at the Ray Mine. Stacked spinel-twins comprise the overall form. The "trunk" and one "limb" host tetrahexahedrons, while interestingly the other "limb" is comprised of the classic, elongated spinel-twins the mine is famous for. The flattened two-sided piece has a beautiful patina. Ex Bill and Anne Cook Collection and acquired in July, 1973. Artistic and excellent copper from the mine and famous finds. It resembles a rooster chicken with the spinel-twinned "tail" feathers. A fine old-timer from the Ray Mine.
