Crystallized Copper (classic locale)

Crystallized copper is VERY RARE from this well-known copper-iron deposit, famous for excellent azurite and malachite specimens, that resemble classic Bisbee, Arizona material. This sculptural, two-sided, flattened, floater specimen looks decidedly different, side to side. The impressive "front" is highlighted by the dense cluster of intergrown, euhedral to rounded tetrahexahedral crystals, to 9 mm, below an artistic fretwork of spinel-twinned copper crystals accented with some tetrahexahedral crystals. The back side is mostly a fretwork of spinel-twinned copper crystals. The specimen has been cleaned to bring out the bright, rich coppery patina. A RARE, robust and fine two-sided copper from the famous Liufengshan Mine.
