Item Description

Cryolite is a rare complex halide and this large combination specimen is from the famous extinct Type Locality. Massive, translucent, pearly cryolite hosts partial crystals and cleavages of siderite, galena and chalcopyrite. A large, rich and highly representative example of this rare species in combination from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Old material, mostly from the 1800s and early 1900s.
