A startling, gemmy and lustrous, stout, rich reddish-orange, crocoite crystal from Dundas. You can definitely see gemmy flashes of yellow-orange fire, when this crystal is under bright light or backlit. This is classic and desirable older material from the 1970s or 80s. The ends of this tapered, compound crystal are contacted from growth against the pocket walls, but have very little actual damage, only slight edge wear on the narrow end. Otherwise, complete all-around and pristine. The backlit photos highlight the gorgeous color density and translucency. Ex Ernie Schlichter Collection.
