Item Description
The finest examples of Crocoite are found in Tasmania, and are world famous for their superior form and quality. A prismatic crystal group of Crocoite with great luster and the classic electric orange-red color. Crococite is certainly one of the most distinctive mineral species in the world in terms of color and appearance. A more than worthwhile for anybody who collects thumbnail sized representations of minerals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5542). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
