Item Description
Were it not for the Crocoite specimens from Tasmania, a lot of collectors wouldn't be terribly familiar with the species. Undoubtedly, the most impressive crystals of Crocoite have been found in Tasmania. Here we have a nice small cabinet / large miniature sized piece featuring classic, sharp, lustrous, prismatic crystals of Crocoite with that iconic electric orange-red color measuring up to 1.5 cm on oxidized matrix. Minor roughness, but it's a nice example of this older material from the Red Lead Mine dating back to the 1960s-1970s. Ex Richard Rossi Collection.
