A CLASSIC, OLD-TIME and very showy specimen of lustrous, orange crocoite blades richly dispersed on very well crystallized quartz-covered matrix from the Type Locality - Berezovsk, Urals, Russia. This is EXCELLENT, old material, VERY SELDOM available in this quality with well-developed, sharp quartz crystals. This old-timer dates to the 1800s and comes from an old European collection, where everything dates to the 1800s. This whole collection had myriad old materials, though I cannot name the owner, and was well known in Europe. Comes with an old, handwritten German label. Valued $600-800 for the richness and quality of the combination.
