A beautiful single crystal of crocoite with great luster, translucence/gemminess and the classic electric orange-red color. Larger single crystals like this are not common, and this is certainly one of the most distinctive mineral species in the world. One end is terminated, with the contact on the back being mostly out-of-sight. A worthwhile addition for anybody who collects single crystal representations of minerals. Older and rarer material from the 1970s-80s finds. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
