Crocoite

Item Description

A rare, THICK crocoite on matrix, stunnin gin its stark display. The crystal is 3 cm long and 1.4 cm thick, which is CRAZY fat. It is a beautiful cherry red color with a flare of metallic luster mixed in. The crystal termination is a contact, where an adjacent crystal grew across it but is now missing. It presents as a flat, matte surface and although it look slike damage, technically is not a break, but a contact point. The contrast of the crystal to the gossan matrix, a rich black, is striking.
