Creedite with Fluorite

Sculptural and impressive large orange creedite specimen from the Navidad Mine of Mexico. Intergrown spherical clusters of nearly entirely rich burnt-orange, gemmy and lustrous creedite crystals form this very 3-dimensional specimen. The creedite crystals reach 1.6 cm long, which is long for the locale. Gemmy to translucent light sea-green Fluorite crystals plus contrasting Milky Quartz are attractively scattered about the piece. The interior is in great shape, overall, with only a few small areas with broken crystals. The broken crystals on the small protruding ball at the top (probably contacted) and the noted periphery wear are minimal detractions to this very rich and highly representative large piece. The attachment on the back includes numerous fluorite crystal sections. Purple LW UV fluorite fluorescence. This locality may be extinct, as we have heard that the tunnel collapsed. An excellent large combination example with large rich orange creedite crystals from the finds of the 2000s (around 2003-2009).
