Item Description

Creedite is known from many localities around the world in various colors, but fine gem material is scarcely available. This wonderful rough and cut set hails from Santa Eulalia, Mexico, where some of the finest purple Creedite is found - which is the most desirable color for the species. The specimen half of the set features fine quality, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, monoclinic crystals of a pale lavender hue on minor matrix. The gem has a stronger purple color with a unique "Freeform" cut (obviously the stone was cut in order to create maximum yield) and VS clarity. Creedite is not an easy gem to facet, so anything close to 1 carat is considered worthwhile, especially with this color.
