Item Description
Very rare and sculptural, perhaps UNIQUE Creedite from this ancient Cu-Fe mine, where the Bronze Age started around 2500 years ago! MINDAT does not list creedite from the locality. Striking intergrown balls of sharp grayish-white, lustrous, translucent to matte finish, frosted prisms, to 1.5 cm, comprise this very artistic and rare L-shaped specimen. An impressive, complete all-around floater rarity with very few bruised prisms, for all of the crystal density. It was bought in China in 2018 as an undentified mineral. The piece resembles in form, but not color, the famous orange creedites from the Navidad Mine in Durango, Mexico. it seems to be a one-off. This striking rarity has a multiplicity of display views.
