Item Description

The Creedite specimens from the Navidad Mine are among the finest crystallized examples of the species ever found. I honestly believe the deserve more attention than they get due to the fact that they are found in large showy display specimens with excellent crystals that have a gorgeous rare orange color. This small cabinet sized specimen hosts a beautiful radiating crystals group comprising sharp, lustrous, gemmy, well-formed prismatic crystals of Creedite measuring up to 1.1 cm long with that distinctive Navidad orange hue sitting on a matrix of green gemmy Fluorite and white Quartz. The piece is in great shape and the Creedite group is actually crystallized all round. It's not easy to find the combination of orange Creedite and green Fluorite together like this from Navidad, and it certainly makes for a really eye-catching specimens. A very nice association piece of this classic material. Valued $950 in the inventory
From the collection of Kurt Hefendehl (#51 Mx), a well-known German collector all over Europe with worldwide contacts to dealers and collectors. He started collecting seriously at the age of 14 and his great and varied worldwide collection reached over 6000 pieces. He was very active mineralogically until shortly before his passing in 2020 at the age of 82. Considering his collection had a large number of pieces, it still had an unusually high standard of quality from most worldwide localities. He particularly specialized in all classics as well as minerals of the Black Forest, where he spent much time collecting. His Black Forest and German subcollections went to his good friend Wolfgang Wendel. We at The Arkenstone have the privilege of offering the remainder of this great worldwide collection over the next two to three years through our various platforms.
