Item Description

Creedite a well-known aluminum calcium sulfate-bearing salt minerals, found in many world localities, but the Navidad (Rodeo) Mine is Mexico has produced arguably the largest number of superbly crystallized specimens in history. Along with the quantity of piece founds, the impressive size, quality and color of the crystals on these pieces is second to none, and I honestly feel like that they don't get enough credit for how good they are. This piece is a showy and good quality example of this contemporary material, featuring a radial "burst" of orange colored, "sword"-shaped crystals, with the largest individual crystal measuring 9 mm long, on matrix. Great quality all around, with very little damage. The lovely orange color is unique to this material, and these pieces might still be too fresh on the market, but one day they will go down as some of the most important specimens found in Mexico in the last few decades.
