Item Description

The finest crystallized specimens of Creedite are those from the Santa Eulalia District in Mexico. These pieces featured impressive crystals both in terms of size and their rare strong purple color. These pieces were mined in the early to mid-1980s, and were never seen again. This one is a lovely miniature specimen is a semi-radial "spray" filled with sharp, lustrous, gemmy crystals soft purple hue measuring up to 2.0 cm free of matrix. When you consider how rare purple minerals are (if you eliminate Amethyst and Fluorite), you have to take notice when one of these older Creedites comes out on the market. Priced at $2,400 for size, quality and rarity on the market.
