Creedite

Item Description

A well-composed, sculptural, large, two-sided cluster of four intergrown balls studded with gemmy and lustrous light orange to colorless creedite crystals. The crystals reach about 1.3 cm long. The three large balls and small ball with the striking hole in the center really accentuate the piece. Scattered broken crystals and several small attachment points are noted, but have minimal impact to the overall impressive presentation of this colorful crystal group. This locality may be extinct, as we have heard that the tunnel collapsed. A very fine two-sided cabinet example from the finds of the 2000s (around 2003-2009). Both sides display well from either angle.
