Item Description

Iridescent magenta covellite blades fill a dramatically placed, 4.1 cm vug on granular pyrite with quartz and rhodocrhosite from the famous mines at Butte. Classic and excellent old-time material. The Shaw's bought many Butte specimens from famed field collector/dealer Ed McDole in the 1950s and 60s. Ex Dennis Mullane Collection.
